Quinnipiac: Rand Paul Wins Independents in Iowa Against BOTH Hillary & Biden

According to a Quinnipiac poll of Iowa voters, Rand Paul is outperforming his fellow Republicans in head to head matchups versus Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden and is also outperforming Mitt Romney's result in 2012.  Most of this seems to be due to his strength among independents.

In a matchup against Hillary, he trails her by 4 points but leads among independents by a margin of 44-38.  Rand Paul leads Joe Biden by 5 points overall and among independents by a margin of 45-29.  That's pretty good considering Romney lost Iowa by 6 and lost independents by 14 points!

How did Rubio do?  He loses to Hillary by 11 points and loses among independents by 5.  Against Biden, he leads by only 1 point and among independents by 8.

It's early but Rand's strategy appears to be working, let's hope he keeps it up!
